Writing

Writing is a form of art which I truly believe refines life and puts things into perspective for an individual. Everyone is capable of being an artist in this sense, as long as they are being honest with themselves. So I encourage you to write, write about yourself, your dreams, aspirations and all that matters to you. What ever you do, try to write.

When you’re happy, write down on a piece of paper what makes you happy and treasure it. When you’re upset, write it down and let it go.

Aim to speak good or remain silent even when the voices in your head are screaming to create turmoil. And when you can’t do either, write. Write what you feel, what you see.

Write what your heart tells you to write and keep in mind that it’s your art. Write when the words fail to escape your lips. Write to the point where you can’t see what you’re writing because the tears are drowning at your eyelids.

Write a letter to Allah Ta’ala , because He knows the condition your heart is in and still wants good for you by speaking , praying or writing about.

You have gone through so much hardships known to Allah alone and there’s beauty in this. There’s beauty in writing to the One who understands you the most, more than you could ever imagine; Allah.

You may have forgotten a time when you were experiencing difficulty but Allah hasn’t and even though it doesn’t look like it right now, you’ll get through this. He’s only letting you go through this so that you get closer to Him.

He knows every moment you have lived feeling oppressed, angered, raged, overjoyed and sad. Allah knows your heart. He knows your soul.

Allah says in the Quran (Surah At-Taariq 15-16)
إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًا
وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًا
Translation
(15) Indeed, they are planning a plan
(16) But I am planning a plan.

So while you’re planning , and everyone else is planning, know that Allah is planning too.
Using your art, aspire to seek Him because Allah Ta’ala says in Surah Al-Lail
إِلَّا ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ الْأَعْلَىٰ (20)
وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ (21)
(Translation: But only seeking the countenance of his Lord, Most High. And he is going to be satisfied.)

So keep in mind, through sabr, sincerity and belief you will find not only happiness but contentment in sha Allah.
