Importance of Upholding Family Ties: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Any act devoid of the remembrance of Allah is void except four: shooting, training a horse, playing with one’s family and swimming. » (Recorded by Bayhaqi and at-Tabarâni with a good chain of narrators)

As mother’s we often get busy with different types of work, whether it’s at home or not, and because of that we hardly spend time with  our kids.
We’re so busy trying to sort things in other people’s lives , solve their problems, help whomever we can but we forget that our kids also need  our attention, love,  comfort, hugs, even a few words which will bring a smile to their face. But that goes unnoticed, pushed aside.

By us pushing them away and not giving them that love and attention they seek, they will start seeking for that attention  somewhere else, maybe even turn to harmful substances because that will take away their sorrow, their pain, worry and  make them forget about how you treat them, and numb that aching heart.

Look at your child and think when was the last time you  ever sat down and spoke to him /her for  a few minutes, when last did you take them out or spoil them with  a gift, when last did ask them about  their day, and show some concern, when last did you ever look at your child with unconditional love and be grateful to Allah Ta’ala for such a great ni’mat ( gift) ?

Think about it and make a change. Start showing concern, appreciation, and  interest .Put aside the work for a while, put the phone aside, and  spend time with your children. Spend time as a family and not involve your work .Learn to value time and use it wisely before it’s too late.

These precious moments will never be repeated, so don’t let it pass by without making a little  effort and sacrifice. Whether a baby, a teen, or adult, they will always remain as your baby and they will always need affection, love, and support from you. Why deprive them of  it?

You have no idea how much that heart is yearning for a mother’s  love…
InshaAllah that bond  will improve and continue to progress if changes are made to balance work and quality time with the family. Love and trust will develop and bring peace to the home.

Remember this sinful slave in your duas inshaAllah
