Take The Leap: The thought of relocating to a new neighborhood, city, or even a new country is quite overwhelming. Even though the decision to start a new life is a great opportunity, it is most definitely an enormous step. The change is something that most people will happily look forward to, especially when they were previously living in dire circumstances.

On the other hand, as much as we would like to cling to the sheer excitement of moving, it is an undeniable reality that relocating to a new city or another country can be nerve-wracking.

In other words, taking the leap, moving to a new location, and getting out of our comfort zone brings a mix of intense emotions. Relocating should be a fresh start where you can leave all the stressful events of your life behind. However, such a major life change can be very intimidating, especially when you know that you’re leaving behind your significant other, your parent, or your child. That doesn’t make it any easier, even though your intention and purpose are to try and make a better life that is beneficial for them as well as yourself.

What adds to this overwhelming prospect, or rather, what hurts so much, is receiving negative vibes and seeing the cynical behavior or jealousy on some people’s faces. This is something very difficult to digest, and many friendships inside and outside of work become sour because of success.

Someone who is successful should not have to apologize for being so. It is a well-known fact that there is comfort in familiarity, but it takes real courage to build independence. You took this vital step, and you have to constantly remind yourself of the vision and reason behind your decision to relocate. Only you understand why it’s important to you. This has to be your main focus, not the unpleasant parts of the relocation process. It’s inevitable that you will come across people who are waiting to see you fail. Remember, without a doubt, that success does not come from them or from yourself. It is a blessing and comes from the one and only true ‘Giver of Success’, your Creator.

In conclusion, don’t allow haters to hold you back. It supposedly comes with the territory. Just promise yourself never to become one of them, and let the negativity fuel your motivation for success. Never allow yourself to be lulled into the false sense that the world owes you something. Success is like paying rent that is due every single day. Don’t let those who aren’t happy for you wear you down.

Embrace the new experience. Growth is waiting to happen!
