Children have this amazing ability to make us forget about problems and even though we expect them to learn from us, every day we learn from them. We learn to be patient, to lead by example, to be tolerant and to love them for God’s sake.
If the rest of the dunya’s(World) dwellers despise you or look at you with the eye of suspicion, while children smile at you, share their opinions with you and treat you in a way that is unbiased, nothing else matters.
Once in a taxi, a cute little boy with the prettiest curls I’ve ever seen sat on his mom’s lap while I sat next to her and he kept staring and smiling at me. After quite some time he decides to ask his mom, in the cutest way possible, “Mommy, is she (me) the boogey man?”. His Mom and I, surprised and confused at his body language which differs from the question, we chuckled.
The ones who truly makes children biased are adults, the ones kids look up to.
Like our mothers, Children can be described as paradise in this dunya. To Him we belong and to Him we shall return and when we die. I hope that Allah grants us pious offspring who will give charity on our behalf and supplicate for us to be granted Jannatul Firdous once we are no longer on this fleeting dunya. Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala has written our life for us but by way of dua, it can be rewritten.
It may be that Allah is delaying us from having children because they would be a trial we cannot bare. This “deprivation” has nothing but good in it and one day you will realise it and cry for what seems like an endless ocean of tears because of His love and mercy for you.
One day the mere sound of joy coming from your sons and daughters will grant you to feel the mercy and love of Allah Ta’ala and cause you to cry tears which will be questionable to them and dried by those same children in sha Allah.
May Allah Ta’ala grant us pious offspring who will be amongst the upright, pious, and truthful Muslims who strive to please Allah and are dutiful to us (the parents) for His sake, Aameen.
