Nothing in this dunya will ever truly be at ease. You will always be tested in different ways, through different people, and at different stages of your life. But remember, it’s never because Allah Ta‘ala doesn’t love you.
Every test has a hidden purpose. We are tested so that our Imaan (faith) may grow stronger, so we learn that everything, every joy, every pain, every tear, every success, happens only through the will of Allah Ta‘ala. Tests are there to teach us sabr (patience), to help us deepen our understanding of Deen, and to remind us that even in what seems bad, there is always divine wisdom behind it.
Sometimes the trials don’t come from circumstances, but from people. You’ll face those who will try to bring you down, ruin your reputation, or humiliate you publicly out of jealousy, pride, or hatred. Whatever their reason may be, know this, your worth is never determined by their actions or opinions.
Do not give them the power to make you feel small. Do not let their bitterness rob you of your peace. And never, ever think that you are less because of what others say or do. The truth is, it says nothing about you, and everything about them.
Those who try to destroy the goodness in others often carry deep emptiness within themselves. Their actions reflect their own insecurities. They may feel powerful when they hurt others, but in reality, they expose their weakness and lack of maturity.
Jealousy can blind a person, it can make them do things that defy logic, all just to feel superior for a moment. But don’t let that get to you. Smile, keep your dignity, and move forward with grace.
Remember this, great minds discuss ideas, they strive to make a difference. Average minds discuss events, they live from one drama to the next. But small minds discuss people, wasting their breath on gossip and negativity because it’s the only way they feel relevant.
So let’s not lower ourselves to their level. Let’s continue walking our path with humility, sincerity, and trust in Allah Ta‘ala. When they talk, let them talk, maybe we’ve just become their favorite topic, their “main character” in life.
And that’s okay. Because while they’re busy speaking about us, we’ll be busy becoming better, stronger, and more connected to Allah.
So chin up, believer. Your tests are not punishments, they are lessons. Your pain is not meaningless, it’s purification. And your silence in the face of negativity is not weakness, it’s wisdom.
Because Allah Ta‘ala sees. He knows. And He never lets the patient hearts lose.
