The Evil Eye

THE EVIL EYE – NAZAR – There’s wisdom in remaining a mystery.

It’s not because you’re anti social, it’s because it refrains from casting an evil eye on you.

Whenever anything good occurs in our lives, It’s natural for us to share it with our friends, family, social media, etc.

It’s difficult to contain the joy, excitement at that moment and innocently we share those happy moments with others and expect to get positivity in return.

We receive genuine positivity from some friends and some have a facade. They pretend to be happy but behind our backs they are fuming and envious.

That’s when the ungratefulness begins, the jealousy creeps into the heart.

People who have a mindset filled with negativity, prey on people who are progressing in different aspects of life.

Their thoughts towards people who have achieved something or have their life on the right track, bothers them to such an extent that it makes them spit out words  of curses, they become jealous, furious, and that leads to questioning their Lord, their circumstances and it keeps increasing until they see something bad happening to whoever they were jealous of.

Nazar (evil eye) is real and we need to educate ourselves about it because it can affect us physically and spiritually.

We’re openly inviting the evil eye to cast it’s curse upon us and by not protecting ourselves we’re making our situation worse.

Allah Ta’ala says: And indeed, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes when they hear the message, and they say, ‘Indeed, he is mad.’ [Quran,68:51]

So the evil eye is real? Yes!

The Prophet Salallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: The evil eye is real, and if anything were to overtake the divine decree (al-qadar) it would be the evil eye [Muslim]

An evil eye is like an arrow which comes from the soul  of the one who envies and if we don’t protect ourselves by supplication of our morning and evening prayers, then we become an easy target to be affected.

But if we protect ourselves then the one who casted an evil eye upon us will be affected. It will return back to the one who had bad intentions for us .

Aisha RA narrated that whenever Allah’s Messenger( Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)went to bed every night, He used to cup His hands together and blow over it after reciting surah Al-Ikhlaas, surah Al-Falaq and surah An-Nas, and then rub His hands over whatever parts of His body He was able to rub, starting with His head, face, and front of His body. He used to do that three times. [Al-Bukhari]

Remember this sinful slave in your duas inshaAllah.
