What is our object in this world (dunya)?
Allah Ta’ala says : “The worldly life is nothing but substance of deception.”
Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wasallam said : “The world is a prison of the mu’min(believer) and paradise of the kafir (disbeliever). ” Sahih Muslim 2956
Our object in life should be aakhirah (hereafter) and not only fulfillment of dunya( worldly things ).
Whatever we do, we should always have the intention that it’s done solely for the pleasure of Allah Ta’ala and inshaAllah it will make things much easier to accomplish if we remind ourselves before, while, and after doing the deed.
If you bring deen into your home, your life, Allah Ta’ala forbid but when a calamity arises, you will be able to handle that situation in a way that doesn’t make you doubt or question Allah Ta’ala, it does not make you lose faith in Allah Ta’ala.
It will increase your faith, your conviction in the hereafter, taqwa(piety), and help you remain on the right path with istiqaamat (steadfastness) InshaAllah.
People are generally deceived and overwhelmed by the glitz and glamour of this world because they are not aware of its reality.
Should the reality of the world be revealed, they would become utterly disappointed and reject it.
A hadith states something to the effect :
” If the value of the world was equal to that of the wing of a mosquito, by Allah, He would not have allowed any kaafir even a drink of water from it “.
Remember this sinful slave in your duas inshaAllah.
