SICKNESS IS ALSO REWARDING
SICKNESS IS ALSO REWARDING: Sayyidina Anas Radhiyallahu Anhu reports, Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam said : ” If a Muslim is afflicted with a bodily affliction (illness etc), it is said to the angel( who records his pious deeds) : continue recording the pious deeds he committed in his state of good health. If Allah grant him recuperation, he will cleanse him. If Allah grant him death, he will forgive and have mercy on him.
“Sharhus Sunnah, Mishkaat. So, my respected readers, no matter what illness you may have, try to not think in a negative way. I know it’s easier said than done and difficult to put into practice because after all we are human. But by looking at the hadith above you realise that even by being sick there is benefit and there are many more ahaadith regarding this topic.
This world is temporary, we’re all are going to leave this dunya soon and go to our destination which is for eternity (Akhirah). So, let us make sure we are prepared for it InshaAllah. How we live, the lifestyles we adapt, is how we will die.
For those who are suffering from any illness remember that Allah has reasons for everything that happens in our life, whether good or bad, don’t lose hope! Don’t lose your trust in Allah, because there is wisdom in whatever Allah does. Only when our eyes close and we move on into the next world (Aakhirah), then only will we see the true value and beauty of this imaan.
We will be rewarded abundantly for all the sacrifice and effort we made InshaAllah, and then we will wish that we had more time in the dunya to worship Allah and gain more rewards. Spend your time wisely and try to earn as much reward as possible.
May Allah make it easy for all those who are ill, grant them complete shifa, grant the family sabr, and make us leave this world with the kalimah on our tongue, and resurrect us with imaan.
