Thank You For Doubting Me

Thank you for doubting me, because I’m more confident than I could ever be. It added fuel to my internal fire. You created infidelity and vivid images of me with other guys… I thank you for that, because it made me who I am today: A woman so powerful that no malice or animosity could break me.

You were afraid to lose me, regarded me as a blessing and now you spit words of repugnance at me.
I thank you for that, because you made me reflect on myself and realise my worth.

I am strong. You couldn’t handle the heat rising.

You questioned yourself about me loving you because I’ve achieved a level of recognition, making it seem like I had an ulterior motive. I thank you for that, because it made me work harder towards my islaah (self-reformation) and ensuring this world and all it contains never creeps into my heart.

It made me realise that you were being doubtful because you allowed yourself to be gullible and showed me there are people in this world who want to see me fail.

I thank you for being in my life and giving me this opportunity to turn jealousy, insecurity, ungratefulness, selfishness or any obstacle into motivation to become a better person. I turned all that negativity into a positive vision.

Today, I am the woman I am because I did not allow someone the power to defeat me with their doubtfulness and expectations. I know my abilities. The belief in myself is far greater than your opinions and doubt of me.

My deen has given me an understanding that every experience, sorrow, pain, heartache, grief, criticism and judgement is a means of gaining closeness to my Creator and making me mentally stronger to withstand the narrow mindset of society.

Life is not meant to live in darkness. Yes, we would find ourselves creeping into the depths of darkness, but at some point, we will find light. There’s always light at the end of the tunnel.

Sleeping with pillow-soaked with tears will not lighten the burden or fill the void in your heart.
Allah, The Giver Of Life, is what we need in good and bad times. Pray, ponder, reflect.

Allah Ta’ala never burdens a soul more than it can bear. I was assured. I had full conviction in the Qur’an because He (Allah Ta’ala) told me, “God does not burden any soul with more than it can bear.” – Qur’an (2:286).

We just have to think that we are a seed that’s been planted and will bloom soon, insha Allah.
Bloom and let it reflect onto others, let your beauty impact on others, but most importantly, yourself because you’re worth more than you know.
