When we leave the privacy of our homes and enter the public eye, we tend to change the way we behave in order to present a certain image of ourselves to society. The need to constantly present and maintain that image stems from the fear of public opinion which lurks in the back of our minds: “What will people say,
If I wear this, will they laugh at me”
Your life should not revolve around the opinions, and expectations others.
Be proud of who you are, accept yourself for who you are.
Use what makes you happy, what you're comfortable with.
Every individual is different, their likes and choices of things are different.
So, stand out and be a unique you.
How you look at yourself is how others will look at you .
The moment you begin to change that to make others happy, you will never be content. You will constantly look for acceptance by doing what is pleased by public.
Let it not be that we turn a blind eye to Allah Ta‘ala’s ‘opinion’ and value the opinion of everybody else. After all, it’s the ‘opinion’ of Allah Ta‘ala that really counts.
