Don’t run from it. Face it
Don’t run from it. Face it: Whenever you find yourself in a difficult situation, trapped and unable to see the pathway to exit that dark hole. Who do you turn to or what do you do?
The reason why I’m asking this, is because it’s become so rife for us to choose intoxicants, friends, inappropriate environments to help with the stress, sorrow, depression or any type of difficulty we’re experiencing.
What if we used a different method. A method that doesn’t involve losing our consciousness, numbing the memories for a few hours.
Don’t run from it. Face it: What if we tried to make an effort and pour our hearts out sincerely to our Rabb.It will never make a difference or have an impact if we do it haphazardly.Sit in solitude and let it all out to Allah, we will feel better. Cry all you want, vent all you want. But use that moment to focus only on Allah. You may not have the right words to use, or maybe you won’t even know what to say. But just sit down and pour your heart out to Him.
Wallahi ,you will feel so much lighter. Don’t run away from the problem, try to deal with it and put it behind you because the more you ignore it and find bad alternatives to make you forget about it for a certain period…it’s never gonna end there. Its only gonna get worse, it’s going to aggravate your emotions, and increase the desire to continue doing wrong things in order to forget the problem.
It’s easy to have friends, to go out and explore with different intoxicants, or environments. But that desire will continue to increase ,that habit will grow and become your lifestyle, you won’t find ease, you will always be on the edge until those desires are satisfied and your deen will become a memory gradually. So, why choose the easy way out when we can try to make more effort towards Allah.
Don’t run from it. Face it: We think that a quick fix to our problems are turning to harmful substances, clubs, or hanging out with people who have no consciousness of their deen. But it’s not. What we don’t realise is that once its tried and repeated, it becomes a part of you, it will become your lifestyle
