Mualimah – Islamic Teacher
In Arabic, Mualimah(Islamic Teacher) Refers to a learned female scholar who teaches Quran. My Mualimah is so dear to me. She makes so much effort in assuring me that she understands me, she advises without me realising it myself and continues to inspire me to not only learn Quran, but teach it to other’s as well.
Hadith
Uthman bin ‘Affan (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu ‘Alayhi Wasallam) said, “The best amongst you is the one who learns the Qur’an and teaches it.” Al-Bukhari
Sunnah.com : Book 9, Hadith 3
Yesterday, as I walked to madrassah; I felt really weak. It was a blazing day, the wind was louder than any person or object, except the thoughts in my mind. I was highly upset that I always had to experience some difficulties going to madrassah.
There were times when I contemplated turning around and going back home, Then something came to mind; I made du’a asking Allah to help me, to make it easy for me, to reward me for each step I take towards goodness, for His sake and it helped me Alhumdulillah.
By always diverting the mindset to the Mercy, the bounties of Allah, it becomes easy on the individual to handle a difficulty /calamity because their yaqeen (Trust) is in ALLAH. Du’a is able to change everything when done with full conviction inshaAllah.
Alhamdulillah, as always, I’m happy, I tried my best to attend everyday . I’m not the kind of person who responds well to compliments, if not, at all. When I finished reciting the Quran, Mualimah told me I’m capable of studying to become a memoriser of the Quran. I honestly do not think I thanked her enough, I was flabbergasted, but it meant a lot to me.
I did not see any potential in myself and you were there to guide me, encourage me, and inspire me with your wisdom. May Allah Ta’ala continue to grant you more knowledge to convey to others and be a means of hidayat for the Ummah. Aameen.
Mualimah, if you’re reading this, jazakillahu khair. Those who do not thank people, do not thank Allah. May Allah bless all the Mualim’s and Mualimah’s for all their effort and time they do for the pleasure of Allah Ta’ala.
My teacher is my inspiration.
The manner in which she speaks to others is impeccable. My mother always says : ” It’s not about what you say, it’s about how you say it and my islamic teacher is the epitome of that.
No matter how I feel before attending Madrassah, the moment I greet Mualimah as I enter and leave, I go home as a happier, and grateful person. I leave with a different mind-set, with a refreshed positive mindset.
May Allah Ta’ala put it in our hearts to learn, teach and live by the Quran and become the kind of Muslims who inspire others to become better Muslims by working on our character, fore mostly. Aameen.
Remember this sinful slave in your esteem duas inshaAllah.

How humble you sound, how pure your intentions are, there are not many that are willing to discuss their flaws and shortfalls, and it must be said that you are one of the few.
It is not the favours of this world that you rely on, but truly you have submitted to your Creator, and for that your reward lies with HIM only. Like the difficulties you faced going to Madressah, Allah tests you so much more and it is only through patience and perseverance that you receive much more than you ever imagined.
Keep strong Sister, and keep up the good work you are doing, you are a real inspiration to many
