بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
May Allah Ta’ala (GOD) guide us, be with us in all conditions and protect us more than a mother protects her baby.
May Allah Ta’ala (GOD) grant the reader the best of both worlds and make the journey on this path easy and clear for you inshaAllah. Aameen
SOCIAL MEDIA IT’S TEMPTATIONS & HARM
SOCIAL MEDIA, can indeed trap us falling into the traps of shaytaan(devil) and nafs(desires) .
Randoms chats leading to relationships.
A significant amount of our youth are involved in this act and are committing this shameful act openly without thinking of the consequences or even feeling guilty about it ان لله وان اليه راجعون.
A random chat begins when one feels neglected, depressed, lonely, having low self esteem, having lustrous desires, being neglected, sometimes it’s caused by peer pressure, etc.
The social forum becomes a place to seek attention, to gain popularity, to search for love. Some people are even forced to indulge in certain acts just to get noticed and feel special or they do it willingly to be important in someone’s life for a change.
It becomes a place to vent out your emotions, and not forgetting fulfilling your desires with males /females you don’t know and sometimes haven’t met.
What started off as a general conversation gradually lead to a relationship which included indulging in pornography, explicit sexual acts and other haraam acts… Acts which are committed willingly and became addicted to because of the pleasure it brought to one’s life.
You lose focus on your Deen and it’s commandments gradually, lose interest in spending quality time with the family, and sort of become reserved
due to getting attention from these social forums and people whom you haven’t met.
You have no concern to mend the broken relationship with your families or friends because you’re already drawn to the attention you’ve been getting from these random chats, getting your undivided attention and fulfilling the nafs desires…
It’s like a drug which you can’t get enough of, Astaghfirullah.
Days, weeks, months go by and the haraam relationship continues, it gets deeper and more intense making you want to be with those people… Yes not one but at times you become so confused as to who you want to be with, you make a decision of getting a new boyfriend/girlfriend whenever it suited you, thinking they are better than the previous one.
You don’t realise what the outcome would be by being involved in such acts but you are surely adamant in getting what you want no matter what the consequences maybe.
Life is unpredictable, we all have our ups and downs.
If we are experiencing any kind of hardship/calamity, then the solution to that should not be turning to social forums. We should not let the negative influences of the environment push us to such an extent that we think there’s no other solution but the social forums to turn to and definitely not being gullible to fall in the trap of shaytaan and being lead to commit such sinful acts.
We should try to adopt sabr (patience), be in the company of the righteous which is what will help us be steadfast InshaAllah, get involved in youth programmes, community service, anything that is not against shari’ah to keep us occupied, and lastly the most important thing is to turn to Allah Ta‘ala which will strengthen our conviction and help ease the situation InshaAllah.
May Allah Ta’ala safeguard our Imaan and protect us from such shameful acts, May Allah Ta’ala safeguard our progeny and grant us all istiqaamat and true understanding of Deen InshaAllah.
Remember this sinful slave in your duas InshaAllah.
